1983 Alembic Exploiter. OK, I know what you're thinking, "That looks a lot like a Gibson Explorer!". Well, you're right. This bass was a joint venture between The Who's John Entwistle and the fine folks at Alembic. They just sorta changed the name a bit to make it their own. When using just the bridge p/u, this bass has the most amazing piano-like tone. This bass has been used in Battery Apple and Dixon Hall, and became my #2 bass in Everybody Wants Some.ere to ad
Oddly enough, the serial # on this bass is only 17 away from my Distillate. The fact that they both have zebrawood tops and are so close in sequence means they were both made from the same piece of zebrawood. I know, BFD....t
